FIELD DAY 
 We are so excited for Field Day 2026!

Field Day is an all-day outdoor event for the entire school! Students play games, get wet, and have fun. We need parent volunteers to help run the stations and guide their child's class through the stations. Check back soon for VOLY opportunities opening in late April. 

WHAT YOUR KIDS NEED

Here’s what you need to know to have the BEST Field Day ever:
👟 Wear sneakers — old ones are perfect! (No sandals, flip flops, or Crocs, please!)
🧴  Put on sunscreen at home before coming to school!
🧺 Bring a towel to help stay dry and comfy.
💧  Bring a water bottle with your child’s name on it! Stay cool and hydrated!
👕 Wear your grade’s Field Day t-shirt! 
      No t-shirt? No problem! Wear Spirit Wear or last year’s Field Day shirt! 🚫 No bathing suits, please!
✏️ Label EVERYTHING — towels, t-shirts, water bottles, hats, you name it!

T-SHIRTS

Every student will receive a FREE Field Day T shirt courtesy of the Barksdale PTA, with no need to order as teachers will handle distribution by class. Volunteers can purchase a Field Day T shirt for $15 HERE, with orders due by Tuesday, April 14. Shirts will be delivered to your student's homeroom class the week of Field Day.

SCHEDULES FOR FIELD DAY 2026

kindergarten :  
7:50 AM–12:00 PM

1st - 5th grades:
• Morning  (7:50 AM–11:15 AM)
• Afternoon (11:30 AM–2:30 PM)

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Our awesome PE Coaches and wonderful PTA are hard at work getting everything ready for a fun-filled day of activities and stations! This full-day outdoor event is a special favorite for our students, and they LOVE seeing their parents there to cheer them on! 

Dads — this is a GREAT chance to jump in and be part of the fun!
🛠️ Set-up and Clean-up — every helping hand makes a difference! 

👕 Parent volunteers are encouraged to wear their Field Day or Spirit shirts to show their school pride! 

❗Important Reminder :
Only approved volunteers with a cleared PISD background check will be allowed on campus during the event, including lunch break. Spectators are not permitted. Thank you for helping us keep Field Day safe and fun for everyone.
