The Barksdale PTA works hard each year to plan worthwhile programs and events that benefit the children and teachers of our school.  By joining the PTA, you not only improve what we offer our children, but you become a part of it.  Annually, your PTA spends close to $100 per student on:

• To promote the welfare of children and youth in the home, school, community and the place of worship

• To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth
• To bring into a closer relation the home and the school, that parents and the teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of our children and youth
• To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.
